Power Play was a Canadian television drama series, which aired on CTV from 1998 to 2000. The series was filmed at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton, Ontario. The show starred Michael Riley as Brett Parker, a former New York City sports agent who became the general manager of a National Hockey League franchise, the Hamilton Steelheads. One of the throughline plots of the series dealt with Parker's ongoing love–hate relationships with the sport, the team and his superior at McArdle Industries, corporate executive Colleen Blessed, played by Kari Matchett. The cast also included Gordon Pinsent as team owner Duff McArdle, Jonathan Crombie, Jennifer Dale and Al Waxman. The show's theme song was a modernized version of the Stompin' Tom Connors classic, "The Hockey Song", performed partly by Connors himself, and then transitioning to the performance of the band Rusty. The show was briefly aired on the US network UPN, starting in 1999, but was pulled after just two episodes. The second episode aired in the US has the distinction of being the lowest-rated episode of any prime-time TV series ever aired by any US network.

Play Ball is a manga series by Akio Chiba which ran in Weekly Shōnen Jump from 1973 to 1978, which was adapted in 2005 and 2006 into an anime series by Magic Bus, aired across Japan on the anime satellite television network, Animax. The series was released concurrently with Chiba's other major work, Captain, the other series for which he won the 22nd Shogakukan Manga Award for shōnen in 1977. Chiba originally wanted to make the series a rugby or American football, but he began to be held up by collecting all the materials needed to make sure he understood the rules well enough to draw an accurate depiction. In order to catch up, he began creating a manga about the high school baseball career of his main character, Takao Taniguchi. This eventually developed into the series Captain. Play Ball follows the story of the junior high school years of Taniguchi and his teammates. Nearly twenty-five years later, in 2005 and 2006, the series was adapted into two seasons of an UHF anime TV series in 2005, which was broadcast across Japan by the anime satellite television network, Animax.

Magical Play 2001

Magical Play is an original net animation featuring character designs by Kiyohiko Azuma. It was webcast from November 16, 2001 to May 3, 2002, totaling twenty-two episodes. The magical girl satire was later compiled into four half hour episodes and released on four DVDs. A 3D OVA episode was released on December 29, 2001. There are two manga adopting this series. One is drawn by Yoshitaka Yoshino, and the other is by Yukimaru Katsura. ADV Films announced the licensing of the show on April 7, 2003 and has released a two disc DVD "complete" set.

X-Play 1998

X-Play is a TV program about video games, known for its reviews and comedy skits. The program aired on G4 in the United States, G4 Canada in Canada, FUEL TV in Australia, Ego in Israel, GXT in Italy, MTV Россия in Russia and Solar Sports in the Philippines. On October 26, 2012, it was reported that the show would cease production after 2012; the one-hour series finale aired January 23, 2013. The show in its final incarnation was hosted by Morgan Webb and Blair Herter, with Kristin Adams and Jessica Chobot serving as special correspondents/co-hosts. Adam Sessler was the original host of the program; he previously co-hosted with Lauren Fielder and Kate Botello. Play School was a New Zealand educational television show for children. It was based on the British Play School show. It was first broadcast in New Zealand during the 1975 originally screened twice a day at around 10am and then 2:30pm. Playschool was filmed from what was then TVNZ's Dunedin Studio. The last series screened on television in 1990. The show starred five toys, which are famously nostalgic for New Zealanders who watched the program as children. They are: ⁕Big Ted: A traditional-style golden coloured teddy bear ⁕Little Ted: Identical to Big Ted, but much smaller ⁕Manu: A very human-looking plastic doll with Māori features, such as dark skin and hair ⁕Jemima: A rag doll with orange woollen hair ⁕Humpty: A round green fabric toy resembling Humpty Dumpty. Today, Big Ted, Manu, Jemima and Humpty are part of a collection at the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa in Wellington, New Zealand. The museum also has a large collection of clothing and props from the show. The whereabouts of the original Little Ted is unknown. One of the rehearsal Little Ted toys was blown up by the film crew after the completion of the final series and can be seen at the Otago Settlers Museum in Dunedin. The original clock from the series was discovered at a library in Invercargill in August 2009.

Roll Play

Roll Play is an interactive preschool children's television series produced by Sinking Ship Productions, known for This is Daniel Cook, This is Emily Yeung and Dino Dan for the Canadian Treehouse TV network. The series "tells" viewers to copy the actions shown on screen. Puppets are featured, and are played by the Famous People Players. A Spanish-dubbed version airs on V-me in the Americas.
