Connect with Mark Kelley was a Canadian news talk show, which aired from 2009 to 2012 on CBC News Network. Hosted by Mark Kelley, the show originally aired lived from 7p.m. to 9p.m. eastern time on weeknights, and then was shortened to an 8p.m. to 9p.m. air time, after the creation of The Lang and O'Leary Exchange. The show's team also included Reshmi Nair, Jennifer Hollett and Nick Purdon. Several months before the first airing, Mark Kelley pitched to his executives the concept of a "highly interactive nightly news show” which would utilize new media technologies. The show debuted on October 26, 2009. The show ended on June 22, 2012 due to budget cuts resulting from the 2012 Canadian federal budget. Kelley went on to join the CBC's weekly newsmagazine series the fifth estate.

Connect With English is an educational dramatized television series that was recorded in 1997 by the Annenberg/CPB Project and WGBH Boston for students of people learning English. The 48-episode program teaches English through use of a narrative fiction storyline and discussion segments featuring actual adult learners. The show premiered in 1998 and is aired by many PBS stations in the United States and by The Annenberg Channel, a cable and satellite TV service available to schools and other community organizations. Notable featured actors include Karin Anglin, Carlos Lacamara and Mark Consuelos.

Connections 1978

Connections is a ten-episode documentary television series and 1978 book created, written and presented by science historian James Burke. The series was produced and directed by Mick Jackson of the BBC Science & Features Department and first aired in 1978 and 1979. It took an interdisciplinary approach to the history of science and invention and demonstrated how various discoveries, scientific achievements, and historical world events were built from one another successively in an interconnected way to bring about particular aspects of modern technology. The series was noted for Burke's crisp and enthusiastic presentation, historical re-enactments, and intricate working models. The popular success of the series led to the production of The Day the Universe Changed, a similar program but showing a more linear history of several important scientific developments. Years later the success in syndication led to two sequels, Connections² and Connections³, both for TLC. In 2004, KCSM-TV produced a program called Re-Connections, consisting of an interview of Burke and highlights of the original series, for the 25th anniversary of the first broadcast in the USA on PBS.

Connections: An Investigation into Organized Crime in Canada was a two-part television documentary program, created and broadcast by CBC Television in June 1977 and MArch 1979. It covered the growth of organized crime in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver. Each part ran for 90 minutes. The series was commissioned by Peter Herrndorf from Bill Macadam of Norfolk Communications, written and directed by Martyn Burke, and research directed and associate produced by James Dubro.Template:Making Connections The series was notable for its use of advanced equipment - including high speed film and hidden microphones - and for interviews with criminal leaders. The show received an honourable mention from the Michener Award in 1977, as well as an Anik Award and ACTRA Award.

Daily Connection

Daily Connection was a daytime news and lifestyle program produced by NBC News in collaboration with the affiliates that aired it. The program featured a mix of original reporting and content from other NBCUniversal properties, most notably the TODAY show. Other contributing outlets included NBC News Channel, CNBC, MSNBC, The Weather Channel, Dateline, Bravo, Access Hollywood, and NBC News Mobile. Breaking local or national news was also aired. Each broadcast's content was created by NBC News in New York, then sent to the stations, who produced the actual live broadcasts using their local anchors. This allowed stations to give their anchors more exposure, typically replacing a syndicated daytime program with an extra half-hour of news. The show largely avoided political stories in favor of entertainment news, health issues, strange news, and investigative reports. It aired on several NBC-affiliated stations around the country, both owned & operated as well as independent. It started in September 2009 on WRC in Washington and was rolled out to several other stations over the course of about a year. The Daily Connection was last broadcast Monday July 25, 2011 after NBC News decided to pull the plug on the program.

It is part of an instructional course that also includes workbooks and practice tests. GED Connection is part of a larger program called LiteracyLink created by PBS, Kentucky Educational Television, the National Center on Adult Literacy, and the Kentucky Department of Education.

California Connected

California Connected was a television newsmagazine that broadcast stories about the state of California to "increase civic engagement." The show was created by Marley Klaus and aired on twelve PBS member stations throughout California. In 2006, former NBC producer Bret Marcus took over as executive producer. The program was cancelled in 2007 due to a lack of funding. The program debuted in 2002 with host David Brancaccio; he anchored the show from the Los Angeles studios of then-PBS station KCET. Lisa McRee replaced Brancaccio in 2004. Rather than anchor from a television studio, McRee hosted the show from a different Californian location each week. A total of 154 episodes were taped. "California Connected" won more than 65 regional and national awards and, in 2007, the program won its first Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Award for Excellence in Broadcast Journalism for a story titled, War Stories From Ward 7-D. California Connected was co-produced by the following four PBS stations: KCET in Los Angeles, KQED in San Francisco, KVIE in Sacramento, and KPBS in San Diego. The theme music was written by Christopher Cross and Stephen Bray. Major funding came from: The James Irvine Foundation, The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, The California Endowment, and the Annenberg Foundation.
