This gives an excuse to view sequences created by several artists, most of whom were living in the US to avoid World War II. Collaborators included Max Ernst, Marcel Duchamp, Man Ray, Alexander Calder, Darius Milhaud and Fernand Léger. The film won the Award for the Best Original Contribution to the Progress of Cinematography at the 1947 Venice Film Festival. Buy Me is a television program that has aired on HGTV in the U.S. since 2005, and on HGTV Canada since 2003, where it is that cable network's most popular show. It is also seen in Belgium and South Africa, either dubbed or with subtitles. It is produced by Whalley-Abbey Media Holdings, which is owned by Debbie Travis and her husband, and produced Debbie Travis’ Facelift. It shows the entire process of selling a home, from listing the property, to repairing any problems with it, to open houses, to the negotiations of the selling process. It covers all of the details of the process, including home inspections, and occasionally even mild arguments between the sellers and real estate agents. Occasionally, the home fails to sell within the six-month period allotted, but in most cases a postscript of sorts is given by the narrator or in text, stating how things turned out. The show is generally taped around WHAM's native Montreal, and receives a Quebec tax credit for film and video production. A few more recent episodes are clearly shot around Vancouver in coastal British Columbia, and some in Calgary, Alberta's largest city. New episodes are being taped in the U.S., in both Raleigh, North Carolina and Denver, Colorado. The show has been renewed for five more 13-episode seasons.

Buy Herself is a Canadian reality television series, which premiered April 16, 2012 on HGTV Canada. Hosted by Sandra Rinomato, formerly of the HGTV series Property Virgins, the series focuses on single women who are seeking to buy their first house on their own. Its format is otherwise similar to that of Property Virgins, with Rinomato showing the potential buyer three homes and discussing how to manage and balance needs and expectations and complications in the home-buying process. Rinomato has stated in interviews that she was interested in doing a show focusing specifically on female homebuyers because as a relatively new social phenomenon, they face a unique set of personal and social pressures — such as family and cultural expectations that women are supposed to prioritize marriage over investment as a route to financial security — that can make the process more difficult and challenging for them than it is for a single man or a family.

“Buying Alaska” proves that forgoing basic amenities is a reasonable tradeoff when it comes to breathtaking views and stunning wild surroundings that you can't find anywhere in the lower 48 states. Offering much more than living quarters, these properties are so in tune with the extraordinary landscape that it's often what's beyond the house that proves to be the main attraction - from the ability to hunt and fish from a back deck, to extreme seclusion on your own private island, to self-sustaining features such as smokehouses and greenhouses. However, there are also dangers that come with all the beauty, and living in this rugged and remote terrain can lead to animal attacks and brutal winters that cut you off from society.
Follow couples and families who sign over their life savings to three experts that make the crucial decisions of finding, purchasing, and renovating a property that meets their expectation.
